Bagni Di Lucca has since the fifteenth century served Italys elite with its thermal spas of temperatures between 37 and 54 degrees centigrade. It boasts 19 springs of sulphorous calcium. In the building of Bagni Caldi classical thermal cures are performed.It has bathing, architectural value and health cures. For example the balneotherapy still takes place in the original marble baths.

There are two steam grottoes, Grotta Grande and Grotta Piccola.The steam from these two gems is between 40 and 47 degrees. Napoleans sister famous in the area bears her name to one, the Grotta Paolina which is fed by the spring Fontino.
