Motogiro D’Italia visits Bagni di Lucca

This year is the 100th year of the Motogiro D’Italia the first taking place in 1914

180 participants from all over the world this week take part in a 6 stage time trial through northern Italy covering 1600km.

Starting at the Misano World circuit 5 days and 18 hours ago ( and counting) the Motogiro arrived in Bagni di Lucca this afternoon.

The Australian contingent led by my friend Paul Stoker ( a frequent visitor to Ponte a Serraglio and soon to be local property owner) made a pit stop  at Bar Italia to say hello to all their friends who had turned out to cheer them on their way.

The square looked great as everyone had put out Australian flags to mark their arrival.

And off again for another three hours to the next stop. Safe travels Paul see you next week back in Bagni di Lucca.
