Bagni di Lucca, il comune montano più vasto d’Italia; presenta altitudini che vanno dai 150 mt s.l.m. fino ai quasi 1300 mt s.l.m. del monte Prato fiorito.

Yesterday 7th April a new fruit and vegetable store opened in our square at Ponte a Serraglio which is great news for residents, tourists and visitors to the area. Not only does it sell fresh fruit and vegetables but also cheese, bread, meats, Olives and a variety of  other produce and household needs.

Annalisa and her staff at Bar Italia in the square at Ponte a Seragglio opened the doors to the “new look” bar last night. I have to say it looks great !! The local community came in droves to wish them every success. The new bar is now ready for the season to greet tourists … Bar Italia opens again with a brand new look

This year the live nativity took place in the village of Granaiola where the whole community pulled together  to make it a special day out for everyone. Hundreds of people visited being taken up the hill by the shuttle buses that ran free all afternoon. The weather was fabulous and with the snow capped mountains … Presepe Vivente Bagni di Lucca

a A visit to Bagni di Lucca would not be complete without visiting The Ponte Della Maddalena. Everyone who comes to visit always asks for some history of the bridge so here it is.

Yesterday tuscanrooms took advantage of the sunshine and took our guests to the wine region of Lucca along the Strada del Vino calling in at a couple of the vineyards and taking in the amazing views from the Lucca hills. We made Montecarlo for lunch at one of the small trattoria and just had to taste … A trip through the Lucca wine region to Montecarlo and cycling the wall of Lucca

Tuscan rooms visited Lucca today and found a great place for lunch at very reasonable prices. Not bad for 6 euro!!   And the rest of the menu looked well worth a try….
