Bagni di Lucca Arts Festival Grand Opening

Yesterday was the official start of the Bagni di Lucca Arts Festival and people from miles around came to Ponte a Serraglio to see the fantastic artwork exhibitions in the shops which have been decorated and cleaned by many volunteers so that artists can use as galleries throughout the festival.

The weather was perfect and all the hard work was rewarded by the amount of people who attended.

The restaurants and bars set up in  the street and there was plenty of free wine and food at each gallery.

Street entertainers, a live band and face painters kept the young ones happy whilst giving the parents and adults the opportunity to see photography, art, sculpture and much much more from artists around the globe.

The festival is on for three months with a full programme of events and exhibitors.
