The 14th September 2011 was a perfect day for picking the grapes for this years wine on our friends Johann and Vala’s Vineyard.
So it was an early start 6.30am for coffee then armed with clippers off into the vines to collect the grapes.
Bonnie was up and wanted to help as well
All the grapes collected in red and white but we were only doing a third of the entire crop this year so not too bad on the old back.
Lunch was fantastic
The grapes then have to be sorted getting rid of the stems and the rubbish so the machines were loaded up
Some traditions have to be maintained
The end results are definitely worth the hard work

Vala and Johann I know it was work but it was fun and the food was fabulous thank you
