The snow may have gone in the valley of Bagni di Lucca but there is plenty on the slopes of Abetone and Val di Luce.
Our good friend David came out to do some serious skiing this week after a number of visits to the indoor slopes in the UK.

Snow visits Bagni di Lucca
February 1st, 2012Well they forecast it and overnight it has arrived. The snow which has been sweeping across Europe arrived in Bagni di Lucca.
The village has a blanket of snow which is great fun for the local children who were out playing and building snowmen.

As usual Marco excelled himself at Restaurant da Vinicio with a six course New Year’s Eve extravaganza. Suitably fed, we repaired to Bar Italia to see the New Year in twice – taking in Italian and UK times for good measure. So it was an early start 6.30am for coffee then armed with clippers off into the vines to collect the grapes.
