Well we are now into September and the last 2 months have been hectic with many visits from friends of tuscanrooms ( new  and old).

The weather has been brilliant with many long hot days perfect for lazing by the fabulous swimming pool in Bagni di Lucca or on the beaches of Viareggio and Torre de Largo.

Hi everyone hot off the press I think this is as close as it gets to a Bocelli concert this year.

The Teatro del Silenzio and his Honorary President, Andrea Bocelli, have welcomed with enthusiasm the invitation from the extraordinary ambassador of the Chinese Popular Republic in Italy to guest “Bravo China.”

“Bravo China” is a show in which artists of Chinese international fame meet the main interpreters of the hosting country, All forms of art from “il bel canto” to dance, to pop music will meet in a spectacular event that creates a bond and an artistic interchange of the most important spheres of two incredibly distant countries, that the night of the Teatro del Silenzio will artistically unite.

Over the last weekend in October each year Lucca hosts the largest Comic Festival in Europe. It is a time for all the comic enthusiasts of the world ( and Italy has plenty) to meet and exhibit their collections of Super Hero Comics. There are professional exhibitions and writers and cartoon artists from around the globe. In fact there are marquees and stalls on every square in Lucca and even on the wall itself.
